Giving back to New Zealand

 

To give back to New Zealand and its communities, UP Education dollar matches all employee donations as part of our payroll giving programme, UPLift.

All employees within the group can enrol in our payroll giving programme, UPLift. Through the voluntary scheme, UP Education employees are able to donate to one of four charities each time they get paid. For every dollar donated, UP Education matches it and employees receive an immediate 33.33 percent tax credit via PAYE on the donation.

Voices of Hope

Voices of Hope aims to create and implement change for mental health, while also providing hope through the voices of those with lived experience. Through advocacy, campaigning and story-telling, Voices of Hope produces strategy and content intended to influence global, communal and individual change. 

 

Jazz Thornton, one of the founders of Voices of Hope and award-winning director of Jessica’s Tree, is a Yoobee Colleges graduate and we are proud to be supporting her endeavours with Voices of Hope.

KidsCan 

KidsCan creates brighter futures for children in need. KidsCan provides the essentials to Kiwi kids affected by poverty so they can participate in learning and have an opportunity for a better future. Donations to KidsCan help Kiwi kids by providing food, raincoats, shoes, socks, health and hygiene items through school and early childhood programmes.

Everybody Eats 

Everybody Eats has a mission to reduce food waste, food poverty and social isolation in New Zealand. Working with four restaurants across New Zealand, Everybody Eats takes perfectly good food that would otherwise go to waste and uses it to feed people suffering food poverty. By inviting anyone and everyone to join in for a meal in a welcoming space, at shared tables, served by friendly volunteers they are able to bring communities together, allowing people to get to know each other and build trust.

Mental Health Foundation 

The Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand is a charity that works towards creating a society free from discrimination, where all people enjoy positive mental health & wellbeing. They work to influence individuals, whanau, organisations and communities to improve and sustain their mental health and reach their full potential.
