UP Education evolved from ACG Education which opened its first private school in Auckland in 1995. Over the next 25 years, new private colleges and partnerships were added to the group, making UP Education the top-three Australian pathway provider and New Zealand’s most extensive provider of skills-based learning it is today.

1995

ACG Senior College is established in Auckland, New Zealand.

1999

Partnership with University of Auckland is established.

2001

English Language School Jakarta is established.

 

2003

Partnership with Auckland University of Technology.

2007

ACG International School opens in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam.

2014

NZMA, Yoobee School of Design and NZ School of Tourism are acquired

2016

  • Third university partnership is established with Victoria University of Wellington.

  • AMES, South Seas, and Animation College are acquired.

2017

The New Zealand Institute of Sport, the New Zealand College of Massage, Global Education Group, Cut Above Academy, Design and Arts College of New Zealand, Academy New Zealand, and Elite International School of Beauty and Spa Therapies are acquired.

2019

 

Entry into the Australian market is established through partnership with University of Tasmania.

 

ACG Schools is divested and UP Education is launched.

 

Yoobee Colleges brings together South Seas Film & Television School, Animation College, Yoobee School of Design, AMES – The Institute of IT and Design and Arts (Canterbury) to create New Zealand’s largest specialised college delivering innovative, practical and industry relevant training.

 

20-year partnership with University of Auckland is recognised.

 

UP Education secures its second Australian university partnership with Charles Darwin University.

 

UP Education becomes a top-three Australasian pathway provider securing its sixth university partnership with Swinburne University of Technology in Melbourne, Australia.

 

The International College of Hotel Management in Adelaide is acquired expanding UP’s higher education credentials in the Australian market.

2020

UP Education extends partnership with Charles Darwin University by delivering courses for CDU International College in the university’s waterfront campus in Darwin.

 

New Zealand’s largest early childhood teacher college, New Zealand Tertiary College is acquired.
