One of our Young Enterprise teams have beaten more than 300 others to win the regional finals of the Lion Foundation Enterprise Scheme.

Dipan Patel, Dominic Mulcock, Timo van Veenedaal, William Mitchell, Edward Stupple, Dong Hyun Choi and Joe Vaughan developed a cycle-safety business called Brightlife. The company created LightWear, a range of cycling apparel with lighting strips so that riders can be seen from all angles, day or night.

Their mission: to increase visibility of cyclists in an innovative way, by providing a range of products that are adaptable and versatile to reduce accidents.

Brightlife came 1st for the central region, winning $1,000 for their business.

A second team from our school, CUBIX, have been working on a prototype for an app. They said: “Our next step is to market our app through social media platforms and attempt to get it broadcast. We have hit the ground running and plan to keep this momentum going as we enter the new term and the next stage for us as a business.” The team consists of Araina Pereira, Sean Mitchell, Stella Goodwin, Madi Scott and Ella Jaspers.
