We offer a range of free courses if you’re aged 16 to 19 years old. You can study under the Government funded Youth Guarantee Scheme and get your NCEA level 1, 2 or 3.

Thanks to New Zealand School of Tourism’s world-class aviation training, Etevihe has a job that’s really taking her places. After making the decision to follow her passion in 2015, Etevihe gained a Certificate in Airline, Travel & Tourism, and a Certificate in International Flight Attending.
CG GENERALIST, YUKFOO ANIMATION STUDIO
Deep says studying the Yoobee Digital Media course Level 5 was the best decision of his life. He loved it so much he was admitted directly into Advanced 3D Graphics Level 7. Working hard and honing new technical skills has launched Deep’s creative flair and rich imagination that has resulted in him being awarded best Technical Artist and Best Overall Student.
DEMI CHEF, GRAND WINDSOR 5 STAR BOUTIQUE HOTEL
As a student from South Africa, Michael completed NZMA’s Level 5 Diploma in Professional Cookery, which saw him develop his signature style as a result of the cookery skills he learnt. He has also won gold and bronze medals at the prestigious NZChef’s National Salon. But his greatest accolade to date is having his recipe featured in the NZChef’s textbook. Now Michael is creating masterpieces as a Demi Chef.
DIRECTOR, THE FACIALIST
A Diploma in Beauty and Spa Therapies from Elite School of Beauty & Spa Therapies began Ashleigh Scott’s journey to becoming an influential figure in Auckland’s beauty scene. After graduating in 2009, Ashleigh moved to London and began working as a specialised facialist. She opened her own clinic in 2014 upon returning to Auckland and since has already filled her space and schedule to capacity.
SPECIAL EFFECTS MAKEUP ARTIST, WETA WORKSHOP
After completing her Diploma in Production Design and Sculpting Level 5 at Cut Above Academy in 2012, Sofia went on to win the World Title in Special Effects Body Art and Makeup in 2013 (as well as 2015) and took on a role at Weta Workshop. During her time at Weta, Sofia has worked on many projects including Thunderbirds Are Go minitures and prosthetics and make-up for Ghost in the Shell.
