UP Education joins overseas delegation

Mark Rushworth, UP Education Group CEO, attended an overseas delegation to East Asia led by the Minister of Education, Chris Hipkins, to promote New Zealand as an international education destination of choice. They were joined by Education New Zealand, university and school representatives.

The delegates promoted New Zealand’s commitment to education cooperation with South Korea and Indonesia – meeting with agents, parents and prospective international learners.

“It was fantastic to hear from stakeholders how highly regarded our in-market international team are,” says Mark Rushworth.

Highlighting Aotearoa’s dedication to strong international education outcomes, Minister Hipkins signed an Education Cooperation Arrangement with Singapore, and discussed innovative practices and the potential for greater exchange in education and public service training.

He then joined Yoobee College of Creative Innovation at WIR Group in Jakarta, where the students presented their learnings from their 12-week Metaverse Mentored Internship as part of the Prime Minister’s Scholarship Programme.

The Bachelor of Animation and Software Engineering students impressively showcased how they have been making a tangible difference to the metaverse enterprise while expanding their vital skills in immersive technology in the East Asia market.
