26 July 2018ACG Education Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Ana Maria Rivera as Chief Executive Officer of the Creative and IT colleges across its vocational and higher learning division – New Education Group, which includes Yoobee School of Design, Animation College, AMES – the Institute of IT, and South Seas Film & Television School.

The Creative and IT Colleges are all NZQA Category 1, and deliver vocational courses ranging from Certificates, Diplomas and Bachelor’s across content development, film, television and acting, design, 2D and 3D animation, game art, and information technology (including software, hardware and cloud).

Over the past five years, Ana Maria held the Group Marketing Director role across ACG Education Group, and prior to that, the Vocational Sales Director role, across New Education Group.

Passionate about career education and hands-on learning as a vocational choice for students, Ana Maria has built a reputation as a strategic leader with vision, playing a key role in the integration of Yoobee School of Design into ACG Education during 2016.

ACG’s Creative and IT colleges are uniquely positioned to deliver skills for industry and cater for an increasing demand of creative, IT and innovation sector graduates in both New Zealand and internationally, who can enter the workforce with the technical and soft skills employers seek.

Ana Maria said, “Having worked with our colleges over the years, I know they are firmly committed to excellence in all areas, create an inclusive community, and foster an environment in which students challenge convention through creative exploration.  Leading such a fantastic group of colleges and ensuring we are maximising the benefits of a large collective community of creatives will be an exciting challenge I am looking forward to.”

Ana Maria will begin her new role on 30 July 2018.
