The Campbell Institute now delivers the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) in Auckland CBD, thanks to a new partnership with IELTS co-owner, IDP Education.
Ra Uniyaal is the manager of the computer-based testing centre at 345 Queen Street, and is responsible for the effective administration of the test.
An experienced testing administrator who has managed the delivery and marketing of a variety of exams throughout her career, Ra is on board to ensure customers who take the IELTS at Pathways have a great experience and don’t face any issues while doing it.
“Pathways has always maintained a high quality of customer service to students; I’ll be working to deliver a similar level of customer service excellence to our IELTS candidates throughout the entire test taker journey,” she says.
Located in the heart of the city, the test centre is convenient not only for students studying at Pathways, but also for candidates living or studying in the vicinity, Ra says.
A quick turnaround of results – they will be available in 5-7 days – adds to the centre’s appeal.
“Last but not the least, because this is a digital first IELTS test centre, with no paper-based testing, candidates don’t have to be worried about manually counting words and ineligible writing!” she adds.
Ra has good advice for candidates considering taking their IELTS – don’t let fear hold you back.
“There is a help button on a computer delivered test. You can always use this to describe question types as well as how the test works,” she explains.
“This centre will help students have access to a great venue and a smooth test-taking experience. The computer-based test and faster test results will hopefully help reduce the stress that a lot of candidates may have when working towards a deadline.”
