As New Zealand navigated the economic impacts of COVID-19 , UP Education recognised the important role education and retraining can play in helping to get New Zealanders back in to work.
Project Aotearoa was an education-led initiative launched by UP Education in 2020 to support New Zealand and its workforce as part of COVID-19 recovery.
During COVID-19 recovery, UP Education offered free education and retraining opportunities to people whose work was impacted.
As part of this, Kiwis could enrol for free education and retraining across a wide range of vocational courses which pathway into careers in industries like early childhood education, health and wellbeing, trades, technology, management, creative industries and beauty therapy.
Education opportunities were offered to over 7,000 people across New Zealand in partnership with Air New Zealand, Flight Centre and The Warehouse Group.
